PostSubject: Updates On Possible WWE DVDs Coming In 2017 – CM Punk, Goldberg, More   Fri Apr 29, 2016 3:34 pm

Wrestling DVD Network reports that WWE has sent out a new “Fan Council” consumer survey with a list of possible WWE DVDs that could come out in 2017 and beyond. After that initial 21-DVD list, another list was revealed today. Both list include:

SID – The Ruler of the World: “A documentary following Sid Vicious’ start in Memphis to WCW to WWE back to WCW. Sid and others involved discuss his rise to the top as well as behind the scenes stories about his controversial departures from both organizations, as well as his career threatening in-ring injury.”

Mark Henry: “Mark Henry has been a WWE Superstar for 20 years and is a former Olympian. This will look at Mark’s life and lengthy WWE career.”

‘Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase: “Born into professional wrestling, Ted DiBiase’s legacy can be described as nothing short of “rich”! Learn the story of the Million Dollar Man from his beginnings in Mid-South Wrestling through his Hall of Fame commencement in 2010.”

Black History in WWE: “A look back at some of the great African Americans who blazed the trail for today’s current crop of talent. Profiles and matches featuring the likes of The Rock, Ron Simmons, Booker T, Junkyard Dog, Rocky Johnson & Tony Atlas, Mark Henry, and more.”

From the Isle of Samoa: The Anoa’i Family Legacy: “A documentary that follows the long lineage of the famous Samoan family that has created WWE Superstars like the The Rock, Roman Reigns, Wild Samoans, The Usos, and Rikishi.”

Sheamus Experience: “Get a chance to follow Sheamus around on his daily routine to find out what makes the Celtic Warrior tick. Listen to him as he recalls growing up in Ireland as a fan, to beating John Cena for the WWE Championship in his first year in the WWE.”

Goldust: “Dustin Rhodes has been a mainstay in sports entertainment for nearly 30 years, transforming many times over that course. Whether as the cowboy son of the “American Dream” or the bizarre Goldust, Dustin has had a long, windy road to the present day.”

Rhodes Stories: The Sons of The Son of a Plumber: “Dusty Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Cody Rhodes. A father and two sons, three unique talents becoming superstars in three very different eras of sports entertainment. Get an inside look of their home life, what it was like growing up in Dusty’s household. See constantly grow and reinvent themselves, as they discuss each of their different characters and how they’ve attempted to adapt to changing audiences over the years. The scope of the matches included as extras will showcase the length of the impact of this family.”

30 Years of Survivor Series: “On Thanksgiving Day, thirty years ago, the WWE’s second pay-per-view event was born… this time with a new twist. In the early days, “teams of five strived to survive”, now learn the true story about how one of WWE’s staple events came to be from the people who lived it!”

Undertaker: “The ultimate story behind one of the most respected Superstars in the history of the WWE. Hear from the man himself, as he explains the biggest moments in his career.”

WWE Health & Fitness: “In the same vein as the Hunter/Steph workout DVDs or DDP Yoga/P90X, different superstars are given the chance to discuss their workout regimen & diets. The superstar can then go through a workout of their own that the viewer can follow along with at home. Different superstars offer different workouts (Cena does arms, Kofi does cardio, Charlotte does yoga, etc.).”

Epic Undercard: “A look into the most popular superstars that get a great crowd reaction but aren’t usually in the main event. Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, Damien Sandow, Heath Slater, Fandango, R-Truth, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd… Extremely popular talents who have entertained fans for years but may not warrant an entire release just about themselves.”

Greatest Hart Foundation Matches: “The Hitman and The Anvil have provided WWE with so many great matches over their illustrious careers!”

Rick Rude’s Most Ravishing Hits: “Check out some of Rick Rude’s greatest matches from WWE and WCW as well as hidden gems from before he was ‘Ravishing!'”

Rising Superstars: “What better place to see the very best of Rising Superstars than on one collection. (Dean Ambrose, New Day, Rusev, Wyatt Family, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Ryback and more)”

Ultimate Warrior: Unreleased Matches: “A collection of rare, unseen, and forgotten Ultimate Warrior matches never before released on DVD. 2017 marks 30 years since Warrior’s WWE debut.”

Shawn Michaels: Unreleased Matches: “A collection of rare, unseen, and forgotten Shawn Michaels matches never before released on DVD.”

WWE Live In (City)- Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles!: “A series of single-disc releases featuring some of the best matches that have taken place in a specific city. WWE Live in Chicago can include the Money In the Bank match between CM Punk & John Cena; Boston includes a rare Boston Garden match between Randy Savage & Ricky Steamboat. On-cameras discuss a little bit of the history of WWE in each city as well as setting up each match. These could be sold at live events in each city.”

The History of the Tag Team Championship: “This looks back at the long history of the WWE Tag Team Championships featuring the greatest matches for the titles.”

Kurt Angle: “Kurt Angle is the greatest “real athlete” in WWE history – watch a collection of his greatest matches and find out why!”

Best of Iron Man Matches: “The Iron Man match – the ability to perform in the ring for over an hour… Only a few have done it, and now here is your chance to own the complete set of WWE Iron Man Matches!”

WWE Women’s Revolution: “Looking at the Women’s Division “from the days of the Fabulous Moolah to Sunny, to Trish, to Michelle McCool, and now to the future in Charlotte”. Interviews with important figures, discussion on how they changed the role of women in wrestling.”

WrestleMania III – 30 Years Later: “Looking at “the most important event in WWE history” and talking to the people who were there.”

Top 25 Celebrity Moments: “A countdown of celebrity involvement.”

Survival Mode: “The early 90s for the WWE may have been a forgotten time period…The company was in perhaps its lowest point…Financially, creatively, the company was suffering – how did WWE survive? Now hear from the Superstars and the executives, as they tell you what it took to bring the WWE out of the doldrums of the early ’90s, into the greatest successful time period in WWE history.”

John Cena: Behind the Mic: “Cena talks about how he became great at promos, who has helped him, some of his favorites and some that “went awry”.”

Mark Henry, Kurt Angle, Goldberg and CM Punk sound like perfect to me. Though the "Epic Undercard" is stupidly named if that ends up being the DVD's title, even though it would be an interesting thing to see, released in several DVDs.
